Yesterday was Christmas Day. It was truly a blessed day. Forgetting the computer which usually takes up a lot of my time for one reason or another, the whole day was spent with special people , sharing each other’s Christmas spirit. Recalling people who reflect the spirit of Christmas throughout the year, I did think of those teachers at San Giovanni Bosco in Torremaggiore who made my visit in May so special (Giovana, Jeannete, and Fontana) and most particularly Filomena, who has worked very hard over the past few months to make sure the teacher candidates who will be at their school in January will have a great experience.
Today, however, it was back to getting ready. I did go to TJ max and splurged on a suitcase I can live with. I’m not as worried about bringing a suitcase to the airport and trusting the airline to care for it till I reach Rome as I am about hoisting it on to the train to Torremaggiore. So I bought one that is supposed to be “light weight” - - eight lbs.) I am thinking of putting a smaller gym bag in it for the overnight trip that has been planned to Naples/ Pompei, and Sorrento. I will definitely carry my laptop onto the plane. |
