Buffalo-JFK JFK-Rome.... This trip begins with Taylor, Nicole and myself at Anchor Bar in the Buffalo Airport where we tried to defuse our flying anxiety. Nicole scarfed down a chicken finger sandwich as if she hadn't eaten in 48 hours. Taylor has never been on a plane so I tried to encourage her that it would be okay (little did I know the turbulence we were going to experience, let alone the difficulties in the next day to come!). After a couple hour delay to NYC, we finally boarded our flight in hopes we would have no issues making our flight to Rome. NYC is beautiful sight at night, especially from the airplane. Man buns are also beautiful, they should be banned. Turns out, we missed our flight to Rome by approximately twenty minutes. I've never seen ten girls run so fast in my life. After some master jedi- skills by Dr. Ceprano, we arrived at our fee hotel stay at the Holiday Inn express somewhere on Long Island, NY. Here I did laundry so I wouldn't have to wear dirty clothes. NOTE TO SELF: When traveling abroad be sure to pack a couple of extra outfits, undies and a toothbrush in your carry-on incase luggage is lost. Little did I know at the time, Taylor and I would not receive our luggage. Our next flight to Rome was assigned almost 24 hours later, due to over booking and the holidays. Caio! |
